Legislators John Murphy and Michael Grant recognized 11 year-olds Dimitri Vailakis, Amilinda Rivera, and nine year-old Mia Rivera for their generous contribution to Homes for Heroes, a residential project that will house disabled and displaced veterans that will be constructed on the grounds of the former Camp Shanks in Tappan, NY. The three youngsters hold an annual autumn flower sale and donate the proceeds to a local community program.
